Job Description

Responsibilities of the role:

We are recruiting a Engineering Lead to work on managing a team of developers for a digital banking transformation project on AWS:

Technical leader for the team and extremely efficient with AWS development tools and other services /components
Lead team with reviewing code modules to ensure timely delivery
Can come up with a technical strategy/guidance when given a business problem from clients and lead team to deliver proposed solutions to completion
Maintain engineering best practices for the full SDLC of the project

Job Requirement

1. English Level expected (1-10, 10 being native speaker): 7

2. Years of Experience (Range is fine):

A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, with at least 4 years of AWS development experience and 1-2 year of dev lead experience

3. Tech Skills expected:

Possess in-depth knowledge of at high-level programming languages suited for AWS development (3+ years)
Experience with architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling (2+ years)
Follow AWS architecture/security best practices to review codes for cloud-based applications using AWS
Frequently exposed to large-scale systems design in previous responsibilities
Experience with leading a team to develop for AWS implementations for financial services is a big plus

4. Tech Tools expected to Know:

High efficiency with AWS products (AppSync, Batch, Lambda, EMR, Lake Formation, Glue, Fargate, API gateway, DynamoDB, …) and other AWS components for security, API and storage
Experience with mobile integration using AWS AppSync with ReactJS/Amazon Route 53 and other AWS architecture components
Some experience working with analytics/visualization tools (SageMaker, Redshift,…)
High familiarity working with Bitbucket, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline products

5. Project / People Skills expected:

Outstanding communication with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs
Outstanding analytical and conceptual skills
Exceptional team spirit and mental agility
Results and clients oriented
Flexibility, ability to work under high pressure to deliver for deadlines

6. Industry experience expected:

Experience with financial institutions and banking sector implementations is a big plus
